We are thrilled to be teaming up with Japan’s leading breast cancer foundation, Run For The Cure Walk For Life (RFTC) again this year, for our annual Family and Friends Fun Run. All funds raised will go directly to the charity. Last year, we raised just shy of ¥300,000 yen for this very important cause. The TFC matched our contributions making TIS’s donation ¥600,000! Join us on a day trip to the renowned Kawagoe Shrine Flea Market, as we journey together aboard a TIS bus during school hours. This market stands as one of Tokyo’s largest, boasting over 100 stalls brimming with an array of items, including antiques, pottery, kimonos, and obis. As we cozy up in the last days of winter, eagerly anticipating the blossoming sakura, let’s come together once again and celebrate our vibrant TIS community with another Parents’ Night Out. The annual trip to the Kawagoe Shrine sale is a highlight of the TFC calendar. Browse the antique market that runs once a month at Naritasan Kawagoe Betsuin Shrine. Over 100 vendors have a wide range of items for sale. Once you've had your fill of shopping wander over to the Koedo district to enjoy some lunch and old school vibes. The cost is 2,500 yen per person and can be paid either by cash to the TFC Drop Box or via Stripe.
